The objects we live with most closely are rarely the largest. Our living objects are the pieces you reach for daily: candle holders, vessels, and small sculptures that bring warmth and grain into everyday rituals.

Each is turned or carved from the same rare timber as our largest pieces, so nothing here is an offcut and nothing is ordinary. Wooden candle holders in particular reward close attention, catching light along the grain in a way no manufactured material can.

We turn candle holders and tealight holders in solid hardwood — single sculptural forms, stacked towers, and paired sets — each shaped so the flame throws its glow across the grain. Some hold tapers, others tealights set into turned wells; all are finished by hand so they feel as good as they look on a table, a mantel, or a windowsill.

Vessels and sculptural forms

Beyond candles, we make bowls, vessels, and small sculptures — objects with no purpose but to be beautiful, and objects that quietly serve. Beautiful objects should be used, not stored. We finish every living object with natural oil so it can be handled, gifted, and enjoyed — developing a patina that only deepens its character. These are not pieces to keep behind glass; they are pieces to live with, and they reward it.

Turned from the same timber

Our living objects are made from the same hardwoods as our chess sets and tables — sheesham for depth and warmth, walnut for a finer, quieter figure, oak for a paler, honest grain. Because each is turned from a single piece of solid wood, its figure is unrepeatable. Using offcuts from our largest work, nothing of the tree is wasted.

A considered gift

Because each piece is handcrafted and individually finished, our living objects make gifts that carry meaning and last.
