Rosewood
Rare and resonant, streaked with amber and ink. Rosewood is reserved for our finest collector editions.
Rosewood is the aristocrat of hardwoods — dense, lustrous, and dramatically figured, with streaks of amber, chocolate, and near-black.
Historically prized for the finest furniture and instruments, rosewood is increasingly rare and is protected in many forms, so we use it sparingly and responsibly, reserving it for pieces that deserve it.
Why we use rosewood
Its density and figure make rosewood extraordinary for turned pieces and showpiece surfaces. We reserve it for collector editions and special commissions.
Sourcing and care
We source rosewood responsibly and in small quantities. Keep pieces from direct heat and sunlight and refresh with natural oil. To enquire about a rosewood piece, contact the studio.
